General Terms and Conditions for Celle Drilling

1. CONCLUSION OF CONTRACT

Registration takes place exclusively via the online registration form under ‘Registration’ at www.celle-drilling.com. Registration only becomes legally binding upon our written confirmation by sending a ticket and invoice by e-mail. Participation in the Celle Drilling Conference and Exhibition requires prior payment of the participation fee before the start of the event.
If you register on the day of the event, payment can be made on site by credit card only.By registering, the participant recognises the General Terms and Conditions as well as the event and exhibition conditions.

2. SERVICES

The price paid at the time of registration entitles the holder to participate in the conference. The organiser will put together a conference programme based on the abstracts submitted following a ‘Call for Papers’. The topics and speakers are selected by a programme committee made up of experts from the industry. The conference programme will be published on the website www.celle-drilling.com.
The organiser reserves the right to change the programme up to and during the event for certain reasons. Reasons for changes to the event programme may include cancellations or substitutions of speakers as well as changes to lecture titles. The aforementioned adjustments and other changes to the event programme do not entitle the participant to a full or partial refund of the conference fee. This applies in particular to cancellations of speakers and the associated cancellation of lectures in the event programme.
The failure-free functioning of external data and power supply networks is not guaranteed.
The organiser reserves the right to cancel the event in whole or in part for economic or political reasons or due to force majeure

3. PRICING

The participation fees will be published on the website www.celle-drilling.com.
Participating speakers will receive a reduced price.
Students and pensioners can attend the event at a reduced price. The organiser reserves the right to request the presentation of a student ID card or other appropriate proof at the entrance to the event.
The participation fees include the statutory VAT of 19%. VAT will be listed separately on the invoice. In accordance with European law, VAT is charged at the place of fulfilment of the service. The place of fulfilment of the ‘Celle Drilling’ service is Celle in Germany. Geoenergy Celle e.V. is therefore legally obliged to collect VAT and pay it to the tax office.

4. CANCELLATION FEES

If a registration for participation in the conference is cancelled later than 10 weeks and earlier than 14 days before the event, a cancellation fee of €50 plus VAT per registered participant will be retained. In the event of cancellation up to 14 days before the start of the event, the full participation fee must be paid. The time of receipt of the cancellation by the organiser is decisive for compliance with the deadline.
A substitute participant can be nominated free of charge at any time, even on site at the start of the event.

5. LIABILITY

The organiser has taken out event insurance for the event at standard industry conditions. In the event of damage, the organiser shall be liable in accordance with the insurance benefits The total damage shall be limited to the amount of the organiser’s sum insured.
Liability for damages is excluded in all cases. A culpable breach by the organiser is equivalent to a breach by a legal representative or vicarious agent of the organiser.
The organiser is not liable for damages caused by force majeure, political events or official orders.

6. PHOTO AND FILM PERMISSION

Media recordings (image and sound) of lectures, workshops, exhibition stands and participants made during the event may be used by the organiser for documentation purposes and may also be passed on to third parties (but not for commercial purposes).
If a participant does not agree to the publication of personal media recordings, he/she must inform the organiser in writing at least 3 days before the event.

7. EXHIBITION

The organiser is not liable for any insurance risk assumed by the exhibitor. Exhibitors are expressly advised of their option to insure themselves.
Any claims by the exhibitor that are not asserted in writing within 2 weeks of the end of the event shall be deemed forfeited.
The organiser shall not be liable for damage caused by force majeure, political events or official orders. The conclusion of a contract for an exhibition space is not associated with a claim to a specific exhibition space at the event. The exclusion of the competition is generally not permitted.
The exhibitor grants the organiser the right to use the company name and the company logo during the event and for a reasonable period after the end of the event for post-event reporting.

8. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE

Should individual provisions of this contract be invalid or unenforceable or become invalid or unenforceable after conclusion of the contract, this shall not affect the validity of the remainder of the contract. The provision replacing the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be valid and enforceable and shall come as close as possible to the economic purpose pursued by the contracting parties with the invalid and/or unenforceable provision. The above provisions shall apply accordingly in the event that the contract proves to be incomplete.

and the court of jurisdiction.
